Dedicated C's Review
Kim Holden has done it AGAIN!!! A master of words that makes you feel every single one of them. Hands down the one of the BEST reads of 2015!
Gus Hawthorne is so lost! When he lost Brightside he lost his fire, his ability, his voice, his love for life… his everything. He misses her so much it hurts and to numb his pain he self-destructs. Until he meets her.
Scout is a strong, independent woman that needs to be self-efficient and depends on no one. Not her friends, not her family… no one. She’s hard around the edges but when she’s forced into Gus’s life, he changes her.
Gus is an amazing story of how two people not only help save each other from themselves but help each other find unexpected love. Something they didn’t think they could do or have again.
I laughed and I cried throughout this book. The way she writes and has developed Gus is extraordinary. Brightside and Gus have a saying “Do Epic!” and I knew this story was going to be just that but she went beyond that. I don’t know what words makes epic seem not enough… but that’s what she did!
If you haven’t read this, DO IT and DO IT now!
